JANUARY IS NATIONAL MENTORING MONTH
A WORD FROM OUR FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT
As we begin a new year, I want to take this opportunity to tell you why mentoring young girls is so important to me. I have faced many challenges in my life, and I know how hard it can be to overcome them. That's why I became a mentor, even before I knew what it was. A mentor is someone who supports you, motivates you, and helps you grow. Someone who advises you, challenges you, and inspires you. My first mentor was my mother, who taught me how to be compassionate and kind.
Even after a car accident that left me with serious injuries, I did not give up on my aspirations. I realized that I had something valuable to offer: my voice and my spirit. In 2016, I founded the Confident Girl Mentoring Program, a movement that empowers girls to overcome difficulties and achieve their objectives.
The Confident Girl Mentoring Program is more than just a program. It's a movement. It's a network of mentors and mentees who support each other, learn from each other, and celebrate each other. We provide workshops, activities, events, and resources that help girls explore their strengths, interests, and passions. We also help them cope with stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma. We teach them how to love themselves, respect themselves, and express themselves. We show them how to dream big and work hard to make their dreams come true.
I am proud of what we have done so far, but I know there is still more to do. There are so many girls out there who need a mentor like you. If you are interested in joining the Confident Girl Mentoring Program as a mentor or a mentee, please contact us by email or phone. We would love to have you in our network. Together, we can make a positive impact on ourselves and on the world.
